What is the process of ordering law labels from American Law Label?

QUOTE: To generate a quote, we’ll need some information about the product and the manufacturer. The quote will depend on the size of the label (which will change depending on the product) and the quantity being ordered. Filling out a Request Quote for New Items form or Request a Quote for Secondhand/Sanitized Items form is an easy way to get ball rolling.

PROOF: After the quote is accepted a member of our team will design the artwork for your label. This artwork proof will be sent to you for final approval.

PRINT & SHIP: After artwork is approved the order will be placed in production queue. Our typical turnaround time is 3-5 business days. If you need a quicker turn around time let us know that you that you would like to use our Priority Print Service.

What is a Uniform Registry Number (URN)?

The URN identifies the manufacturing facility that produced the product. This can be any factory in the world whose products are sold in the U.S. In most states, Law Labels are required to include a Uniform Registry Number (URN). When a manufacturer registers in a state, it is issued a Uniform Registry Number (URN). This URN can then be registered in the other states requiring registration. So, only one URN is needed per factory. Only a manufacturer can be issued a URN. A single manufacturing company with multiple plants must have a different URN for each plant location.

How can I get a URN?

The process of registering can be complicated. Our sister company, Global Registration Services, Inc., can help you though the process.

How do I describe the filling in my product on the label?

The filling must be described in its generic form; trade names cannot be used. They must be listed with their percentage of total filling by weight. They must be listed in order of descending percentage and adding the percentages together must equal 100%. Below is a current list of acceptable generic filling terms. If you’re still not sure how to list your filling material, contact our knowledgeable team!

Can I put my phone number and website on the labels?

Phone numbers, websites, logos, or anything that may be considered a type of advertising are not allowed on law labels. However, all of these can be present on the Mattress Label and American Law Label can print both of these labels for your products.

Does the “Date of Delivery” line need to have a date printed or stamped on it:

The “Date of Delivery” line is intended for the seller of the product. Upon receiving the product and making it for sale, they can fill out this section accordingly.
